As our Eden journey progressed, the old hierarchical organizational chart was redesigned and replaced. It is a fluid design that is centered on the residents and is continually evolving.

Teams are self-directed work groups and are made up of people representing all departments. Teams work in one specific neighborhood.

“Neighborhood teams should reach across department and shift lines. Everyone on the staff should be a part of a neighborhood team. So, I may work in the kitchen, but I am also a part of a neighborhood team. I attend the team meetings and become a liaison between my team and the dietary department. I can bring information and knowledge into the neighborhood team with respect to my expertise and I can take information back to the dietary team that will help it be more responsive to the needs and desires of the Elders (residents) who live in my neighborhood.” (Fox, p. 171-172)
